My first dabble with crafts was at the age of around 7. We had a stand at the Ally Pally Show, as it's affectionately known, and I saw a lady there demonstrating Heat Embossing. After much persuading aimed at the parents, I was bought my first Rubber Stamp and a Bright Pink Embossing Powder. And the rest, as they say, is history! Heat Embossing has always been, and probably always will be my favourite technique. I was convinced it was magic! It had to be magic! Nothing that fascinating could be anything other than magic! Sadly, someone spoiled it for me recently by telling me it's not magic, it's a wax-based powder which melts. I preferred magic!
My other favourite techniques at the moment have to be Die Cutting, Decoupage and the hot new trend that is Distressing!
My next favourite craft has to be Scrapbooking! You can use all your cardmaking supplies and techniques, and you don't have to give what you've made away at the end, you get to keep it!
I also enjoy a little bit of Knitting, Dressmaking, Dollmaking, Fimo Modelling and Patchwork. Although I shan't be uploading any photos of my patchwork attempts until I get a bit better at it!!
